HLP Partners Brad Parrott and Dawn Pettigrew led a two-week trial in U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona in January 2023. The case involved disputes arising out of the largest road construction project in the history of the state of Nevada. HLP’s client defeated claims against it and recovered a majority of damages sought. The judge will now consider an award of fees paid to HLP.
The case involved 26 bridges and allegations of delays and acceleration. The inconsistent scheduling on the Project proved to be a central element in the HLP team prevailing and is another lesson in the importance of clear and consistent Project Scheduling.
