Mrs. McAvoy is an associate in Hudson Lambert Parrott’s Construction and Commercial Litigation practice group. Her practice concentrates on a wide array of construction matters. She represents and counsels’ architects, design professionals, developers, engineers, general contractors, owners, public agencies, subcontractors, and suppliers, in all phases of the construction process, including construction contract formation, construction disputes, arbitration, and mediation, and litigation in state and federal courts.
Prior to joining Hudson Lambert Parrott, Mrs. McAvoy defended a variety of clients in the construction industry, with a particular focus on construction defect litigation. Additionally, she litigated on behalf of several large banks and lenders in New York and Connecticut and provided risk management advice to the Office of the Governor of the State of New York. Due to her experience, Mrs. McAvoy is uniquely situated with an in-depth knowledge of general construction litigation, including payment disputes, and can provide risk management advice to entities seeking to prevent claims.
Mrs. McAvoy was born and raised in New York and earned her Juris Doctorate from St. John’s University School of Law. She is licensed to practice in Connecticut, Florida, and New York.
Outside of the office, Mrs. McAvoy is an avid runner and dedicated wife and mother.
